On Wednesday I worked with a client on a special project she had to do for her boss. When I answered the phone, I could tell she was stressed out. We talked out the options and I set up some things to make the job easier. I did a little hand holding. It is part of my job.
Yesterday I got an email from her. It was a simple one sentence email. “Thank you for everything you do for me.” She didn’t have to say anything. After all, it is my job and I get paid to do it. But that simple little thank you meant so much to me. My happiness meter went up with those two little words. Everyone wants to feel appreciated.
Just two little words can really lift someone’s day. Just think how often you have the opportunity to say thank you to someone – at the store, at work, at home. It says I’m grateful for you.
Thank you for taking the time to read this blog.
